Had the rufous male at the feeder today, usually gets here on the 24th march. More reliable that the mail.

It's always great to see them back again, have the Anna's as well as they are here the year round.

We had four males at one time fighting over the two feeders we have up this weekend. I wonder if the females show up later? Something of interest is that we have some really nice glass feeders and some cheapy plastic flower ones and the hummingbirds only seem to like the ugly plastic ones.

The males usually arrive 2 or 3 days before the females.

Are you talking about the rufous towhee?? I have some of those at my feeders this year!
