We have a pair of herring gulls nesting on our roof. I found an egg in the garden which was probably stolen by a magpie. Saturday a chick appeared and the adult swooping at anyone in the garden started.

This evening one of the adults got into the conservatory. The window sills looked like this. I think he must have been a bit nervous.

You didn't say but I'm guessing that you were able to get him out of the conservatory? He did leave a mess for you. Maybe you could train him to fertilize the plants next time instead of the window sill

We have those "same" herring gulls Rich , that are are only native yearound resident gulls, and they sure are messy, antisocial critters, though I do find them pretty!
