Ginny everything is beautiful. I love how you mixed your clematis.
I moved the the tall fern looking plant with the little white flowers on top. I have them by my front door. I think of you when they start to come up. ![]()
You asked me about the hosta I sent you. It is called June it is a yellow center blue edge hosta. It will ot get as big as the one I had to use the dolly to move it around.
Do what you can where you are with what you have.
Thanks!
Aud, I'm wondering what plant I sent you with the ferny leaves? Maybe I sent some fillipendula to you also? I have the shorter variety with rosy red blooms that bloom much later, I'll send some of them your way also. They are getting smothered by the big hosta. Now I'll remember the name 'June'. I love that hosta, it has great coloring.

Oh that's yarrow. I was quite disappointed with them actually. I winter sowed those seeds and the seeds were from I trade a couple of years ago. They were all supposed to be different colored pinks, but I ended up with almost all white and a couple of very light pinks.

I'm also a Big Fan of that clemmie combo. You have some beautiful color combinations there. My hubby has finally come to appreciate the little hardy geraniums. Are the seeds viable?Lots of beautiful flowers. As for the tarp-who doesn't like a little blue in the garden?![]()

Hi Ginny! Your garden looks as pretty as ever.
What are the yellow clusters in front of the purple clematis? Second post, picture above the boat tarp. Also in the boat picture what is the red bloomer in the back row? Is that some sort of Lychnis?
Live well, laugh hard and dig up your yard.

Bethie, I know the hardy geraniums do set seed, but I never collected it so therefor never tried growing them myself. Now you have me wondering, I think I'll try some and let you know.![]()

After seeing everyone's beautiful flowerbeds, I feel like I want to die, I have a lot of pretty flowers but I just can't keep up with weeds, makes me feel like a horrible gardener. ![]()

You and me both Smurf!! My gardens have gone to pot. Sometimes I just feel like mowing it all down to be rid of the weeds and killer vine.
Everyone else's gardens look fab!!

Hey don't feel bad guys. This seems to be a year when everyone's weeds are getting the best of them. Just do one small job at a time and you'll make progress.

I don't know what is worse, getting on my hands and knees pulling weeds in the hot sun, or getting eat up by skeeters and fleas, not to mention my sunburned neck, the skeeters are why I quit pulling. The worst weed is the day flower, looking like a green wondering jew, hard to get rid of it. Anyway I shall get photos of the house and yard and post. I'm gonna go eat a horse, then i'll be back ![]()

Oh, I know how you guys feel. There's those times the weeds just do get away on you. But, like Mary said, just take it one area at a time, especially in this heat. Drink lots of water and be sure to wear a hat. Smurfie, put your hat on backwards so the back of your neck is covered or wet a towel and put it on the back of your neck while you're working. ![]()
Do you mean the 'Endless Summer - Twist and Shout' hydrangea???
Ginny your garden looks fantastic. The two clematis growing together look lovely. What are the white pom-pom-y flowers in the pic under the pic of the blanket flowers (I think that's what they are. Or maybe rudbeckia)? Growing in with some blue flowers and a white lily.
