At long last eh?  There are quite a few daffs there, a nice cheery sight after all your snow.

Very lovely flowers there, but unfortunately it seems nearly all of my spring blooms are now past though the tree peonies I guess could fall into that category as well, and the first ones should be opening in my garden very soon!  The red one I have seems always to bloom a week to a week and a half earlier than the other ones I have!

Very pretty Alberta. With the weather we`ve been havin, it`s a wonder anythings bloomin. Our weather is so cold here, and rainy that if anything does bloom, I hurry and take a good long look at it cause it won`t last. Either the cold gets it or the rain beats it to death!

Oh, so, pretty, Alberta!

Love that strong pink coloured hyacinth. I don't have that colour. Mmm, I can almost smell it.

All your spring blooms look amazing Alberta.    Erdine would have enjoyed all your pictures and the daffodils especially.  There is some significance with flax...religious or in memory..  I can't remember but anyway the two look beautiful together.

Thanks All.  My seasons are to short to NOT have color as long as I can, and lots of it.!

Boo, I don't know anything about  any flax stories. time for a google.

Gilli, the Pulsatilla has been mistakenly been called Crocus in much of the province for as long as I can remember. It grew is a wild flower and I would pick them for my mom.

Now I'm trying to grow some in my flower beds, I haven't seem them in the wild for a long time now.

Bethie, I don't take credit for Mr. Tin man, he was a project my husband did when we first moved here.

I found a site that gives meanings and legends of flowers.

"flax is the flower of the goddess Bertha"

I love the colours.
