Once again they are replacing a time slot that could be used for good tv with talk show gibberish mon -fri. Ugh!! I didn't watch Jay Leno when he's been on the Tonight Show.

It's not because of the time slot but I don't really like him.
what do you guys think about this? Tv seems to get worse & worse because nobody wants to pay actors & writers.

I like the Tonight show,I usually fall asleep to it every night

but I cannot stand Conan Obrien, gag me! When he take sover the tonight show I'll have to find something else to watch, er I mean fall asleep too.
Not sure about Jay being in prime time, can't hurt NBC's ratings any.

I think it was once referred to the show most used as backdrop noise when people are making whoopie. whoopie

does it make me old that I'm using that term?

I do not like him and did not watch him at 11 so 10 will not make me watch. I think he is arrogant and cruel. He is no Johnny Carson.
No Boo you do not sound old but I am not a good judge since I am OLD!!

I watched Johnny Carson all the time. Cried when Bette Midler sang that song to him.

Nope, having Leno take over was something else.

I don't like Leno or Letterman, both seem to be overpaid and overblown. Neither one is very funny. And now all people do is come on to promote movies and stuff.I do wish they would put some good tv back on, we have so many channels , and nothing is on.

Yeah, I love it when Lucy sends Linus and Charlie Brown to get an aluminum christmas tree and they find the little real tree and Linus says "Gee, I didn't know they still made wooden trees"

I like the Charlie Brown Christmas special - it's sweet.
As for Jay Leno, I can't stand the man and have rarely watched him for more than 60 seconds. He's what I refer to as a "hipster doofus" if you get my meaning.

You know they keep saying he gets good ratings. I do not know many people that admit to watching him. Soooooo Where are these high ratings coming from?
Love all the Christmas shows. I wish I had my house decorated like Jennie. I just cannot decided if I am going to get the stuff in the new house. Maybe next week.

I don't think there are any good comedians out there anymore. 99% of them say stupid things in stead of funny things and most of them use dirty language when they really don’t need to. Actually I like Jeff Foxworthy. 'You might be a redneck if....' Pretty much the only guy on TV that can make me laugh anymore. As for Leno I tune in on Mondays from time to time to see the stupid news items people send in. I try to time it so that is all I watch. As for O’Brien I can’t believe the man is even called a comic and I’ll never understand how he got a job much less that job.
I think the reason we all loved Johnny Carson was because he was a brilliant man. He was smart enough to know what really was funny and what people liked. Even some of his stupid skits were actually brilliant. I think he would be sadly disappointed in the way the comics he thought were good actually turned out. Carol Brunet and Lucile Ball fall into the same category as Carson in my book. Sadly all the really good ones are gone or just no longer performing.
I’m glad I’m from the older generation. I got to enjoy Real Comedy, Good Movies and entertaining TV. So what if we had to turn the rabbit ears around, cover them with foil and sometime even stand on one foot with our tongues held just so, so we could get a clear picture, it really was worth it. There isn’t anything worth doing that for on TV now.

I remember those days Bernie and the dance with the rabbit ears. And having to get up to change the channel to the other one.
I loved Johnny Carson, and I haven't had a good belly laugh in a long time. I did like George Carlin, and now like Russell Peters.

It's much easier to be the type of comedian that makes fun, jabs or uses foul language for shock value.
There is one man that had a dirty voice that I thought was hilarious - George Carlin. He was so smart, but he made his humor funny at every level. I wouldn't put him in the same category as Johnny Carson but (in my opinion) equally funny.
Carson was a nice guy and I can't imagine anyone took offense to his humor.
