My mom loves to pick my flowers for bouquets and she is very nervous about all this low growing sedum & semp.
So I want to grow some flowers for cutting next year. annuals or perennial, doesn't matter Does anyone have any favorite plant suggestions that they enjoy as cut flowers?

cockscomb
cleome
cosmos
zinnias
lilies
aster
delphs
baby's breath
phlox
There are lots of good ones. Jennie's suggestion of glads is my favorite. They are beautiful and if you dissolve an aspirin in the water the blooms will last 3-4 days longer!! If you can grow lilac bushes they are great and they will dry out so you can use them in other things and they make your house smell wonderful.

babies breath (lg)
sunflowers (small headed)
daisies (all kinds)

All these seem to last long after cutting for me.

By the looks of everyones list there is not much more to add. My favorite is goriosa and painted daisys, then glads are up there too. James Kelway is my favorite perrenial daisy. Red with yellow centers.

Lots of good choices in the lists. I especially like cosmos because they are so wispy and daisies, blackeyed susans, roses, larkspur, and bachelor buttons too.

running down the lists I didn't notice Iris mentioned.... they're one of my favorites for a cutting garden.
